"How to crochet a fun, easy ripple crochet pattern perfect for running errands or a night out on the town, or if you're like me, holding your crochet supplies! Video tutorial included! I recommend cotton yarn for your bag as it's more durable, and this bag will see a lot of wear, especially if you're using it in a larger bag. I like to use WeCrochet Dishie Yarn, but alternatively, you can use Lily Sugar n Cream or Crafters Secret Cotton. I do like to line mine, so you'll need some additional supplies if you want to line yours too. For reference, I had my clutch ready in about two hours. Gauge is essential if using a similar pre-made lining to mine, and it's measured in unturned rounds: 14 HDC = 3.75" Wide & 5 Rounds = 2.13" (or 2 1/8") Tall."

Materials List

  • 195 Yards Total of Worsted Weight Cotton - I used WeCrochet Dishie; 45 Yards of Mushroom, 70 Yards of Verdigris and 80 Yards of White
  • H8/5mm Crochet Hook
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Optional for Lining: Fabric, Zipper, Thread and Sewing Machine - I used a pre-made bag that I stuck inside and then sewed in place - it measured 10.88" wide by 9.25" tall, and I like to use Silamide thread for sewing.
