When budgeting for food, there's nothing heartier or simpler than a casserole dish. What better way to vary your day-to-day meals than with a baked spaghetti casserole. This five-ingredient dish is an easy casserole recipe that combines the taste of pasta with the texture and heartiness of a casserole. The ingredients are often found in your pantry which gives you an excuse to break out the baking pan and warm up to a pasta bake rather than your normal spaghetti dinner. This budget-friendly meal can also be frozen to have leftovers later in the week.

I loved this baked spaghetti recipe because it looks wholesome, delicious and very fast to prepare but when I found out that you can customize it, it became ten times better or that you can prepare it ahead of time and just pop it into the oven when ready, i knew I had a new casserole dish. If you're vegetarians, cut the meat and just use your vegetables but if you aren't, then I bet you have some bacon you can use.

With it being so hot outside and maybe inside of your house, the last thing you want to do is stand over your stove to cook dinner. This is the recipe every family member will love. It can be put in the oven and you can go into another room knowing dinner will be tasty and perhaps even have some leftovers.

Pasta bakes are one of my all-time favorite dinner ideas. Spaghetti is already delicious, but melting cheese on top takes it to the next level! I'm sure this recipe would be just as tasty with ground turkey or chicken in place of the beef, and that would make it a little bit healthier, too.
