Brighten your countertops and keep your bowls free from dust with these DIY reusable bowl covers. This three-step sewing project will create fabric covers that fit over your bowls to protect from dust and bacteria. Store snacks under these covers for convenience or place them over empty bowls to add splashes of color to your counter or cabinets. This easy DIY food bowl cover will ensure your bowls are protected, so you can worry about what goes in them instead of repeatedly washing them.

- Cotton fabric
- 1/4” elastic
- Sewing machine
- Amplify® Mixed Media Shears (8")
Lay the bowl on top of your chosen fabric and draw a circle around the rim, adding an extra 1 1/2” width so that there is enough fabric to completely cover the bowl. Cut out the circle using Amplify® Fabric Shears. These shears consistently make sharp and clean cuts, even after prolonged use.
Pin 1/4” wide elastic piece at the raw edge and pull it taut as you sew the elastic to the perimeter of the fabric with a zig zag stitch.
Fill your bowl with snacks and place the finished cover on top.
